Album : Lara Brodsky - Remakes of Lara
Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:19AM
Sometimes its appropriate to start off with a quote:
Remakes of Lara is simply put, six reworkings of Lara Brodsky's piece for voice and loop pedal, Offering the Mandala. nearly a year ago we approached lara about centering a luvsound project around her piece. a few seasons later and the work has been finished by a host of luvsound regulars and some very welcome new faces. we're incredibly excited with the results. each remake explores the source material from a different and interesting angle, exploding the original into a nearly hour long meditiation. please brew a pot of tea, find a comfortable spot, and enjoy.
Grabbed right off the ambient netlabel, LuvSound. This album was recommended to me by the curator, Erik. While I was hustling, aka working from home, I had this on my headphones. Every time I exited out of my remote desktop because the song was so good it distracted me from the mundane data slinging, it turned out to be remakes by artists IMOLFO had previous shared with you. Normally I'll post just one or two songs so you'll be intrigued enough to spend the 5 minutes clicking on the link and downloading the album, but this time it's different. I think you should hear the four tracks that jumped at me first then download the album. I recommend it's entirety for late Sunday afternoon post brunch champohjays with close friends. Its a shame I hadn't listened to it before this weekend.

Watch : Kitty Scratch of Death - VJ Demo

BEWARE if you are schizophrenic, I mean epileptic. Here is the technical specs:
This is a demo vid for my realtime video performance project. The software is custom designed using Cycling '74's Jitter.
What does that mean? It means you need to be awesome to figure it out. But the big word is custom. KSOD uses controllers that are usually used to trigger music for live electronic performance and has programmed his own software in the Jitter platform. I don't claim to understand, I probably just described it wrong, but I'm still tripping. Do you ask the chemist how? Or the earth why... well actually?
Eat it up and get KSOD, Gov name Bryan Teoh, to wicked up the room at the next party your going to or planning. Send him an email or tell your bro dude to get in touch with him @ bryanteoh-AT-gmail.com
The good music is brought to you by Syndrone.
Listen : 8 Bit Betty - Requiem for Pluto

If you haven't heard 8 Bit Betty, you probably don't know about the 8 bit NES music scene. Its cool, there's a lot of scenes, of course, and the music is really what matters. So even tho you can notice that Bryan Teoh has been rocking all 64KB at shows in that scene, you can also notice that his music is riding on top of that creative pulsewave.
Listen below or download here.

If you like what you hear, jump to his download page and grab his album which I can't believe is free. Probably a mistake.

Bryan is an extremely talented, dedicated and professional artist and has been filling up his schedule with video and music gigs of different types. Check out his work and book him at your event, we'd like to twist our brains around it with you.
